Paint Mixing Matt
Coverage: Up to 13m²/litre
Dulux colour mixing Matt gives interior walls and ceilings a low sheen matt finish, which minimises imperfections and gives a contemporary look to your home.
To get the best results with Dulux colour mixing Matt, make sure the surfaces are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry).
General preparation: Remove any loose or flaking paint. Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease etc. Rub down to remove any sheen then wipe off dust with a damp lint free cloth. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Seal new, bare and porous surfaces, including previously unpainted textured surfaces (e.g. ceilings painted with ARTEX texturing compound) with Dulux Plaster Sealer.
When redecorating new buildings that have a plasterboard finish (i.e. not plastered ) for the first time, it is advisable to apply a coat of Dulux Plaster Sealer, as this type of surface remains very absorbent and so may be difficult to paint.
Any surface defects should be filled with the appropriate Polycell Polyfilla product.
Painting Wallcoverings: Not all wallpapers are suitable for painting, so please check first. Always ensure that paper is clean and free from all paste residues. When painting new or unpainted papers, add up to 10% clean water to the paint and stir in.
It may be necessary to stir in any surface colourant with a palette knife or similar implement before use.
In hot weather and warm environments, up to 10% clean water may be added and stirred in to ease application if required. For normal use stirring or thinning are not required.
Apply 1 or 2 coats of Dulux colour mixing Matt using a suitable brush or roller.
Where a second coat is required, allow a minimum of 2 hours between coats. When conditions are colder, more time must be allowed for the first coat to dry fully.
Precautions: Do not use Dulux colour mixing Matt on radiators and other heated surfaces. Areas that suffer from condensation should be painted with Dulux Kitchen or Dulux Bathroom.
Very slight variation in colour may occur between different cans of coloured paint. When using more than one can, it is advisable to mix them together in a larger container or finish in a corner before starting a new can.
